Movie: Serenity

Last night had a chance to go see a movie with my wife. First it was a great night because we got to get out alone, we had 2 free movie passes AND free popcorn and drinks, so it cost us nothing. For the first time in a while I told my wife what we were going to see vs. her telling me or a discussion. I had heard it was pretty good, so I really wanted to see it.

From my understanding this is a TV show that was cancelled that is now a movie. The movie was very funny, so I laughed and really enjoyed the movie. The characters had a really fun interaction and the story line was pretty interesting. A lot of the movies out now days try to have a nice pleasant underlying love story, this one has a small one, but it's never really that main focus of the movie, except to add some humor. It was one of the more enjoyable movies that I've seen in a long time.

If you like action movies, sci-fi, or comedies (or any combiniation) You'll love this movie. I gave this a 4.5 outta 5. Not the best, but compared to anything I've seen in the past couple of years it was everything I wanted and more in a movie. Go see it, and let me know if you run across this
